What it should had been an official court proceeding through a Zoom call, accidentally turned into an hilarious viral video, all due to to an innocent filter!
Judge Roy Ferguson was getting ready for the proceedings of the 394th Judicial District Court in Texas via Zoom app, but when turned on the video call, the last thing he expected to see was a…kitten. However, that was exactly what the screen was showing. Well, at least it wasn’t a real kitten, but rather a county attorney covered by a hilarious Zoom filter. As a result, the face of attorney Rod Ponton was covered by a blue-eyed cute kitten.
IMPORTANT ZOOM TIP: If a child used your computer, before you join a virtual hearing check the Zoom Video Options to be sure filters are off. This kitten just made a formal announcement on a case in the 394th (sound on). #lawtwitter #OhNo @zoom_ushttps://t.co/I0zaj0wu6K

What came next was a funny talk between the two. Even everyone in the conversation noticed the funny filter, apparently the attorney struggled to turned it off. “Mr Ponton, I believe you have filter turned on in the video settings,” Judge Roy Ferguson said.”I’m here live, I’m not a cat”, the attorney can be heard. “I can see that,” the judge added.
Since nothing gets by Internet, the video footage of this Zoom call instantly went viral on social media. Rod Ponton later explained how such a funny scene was possible.

“I logged into my secretary’s computer to appear at this hearing via Zoom,” 69-year-old attorney said. “But everybody’s face popped up except mine. Mine was a cat.” Even it was an official court proceeding, everyone in the call enjoyed the funny moment. “”Everyone involved handled it with dignity, and the filtered lawyer showed incredible grace,” Judge Ferguson said.
