The Lion King is one of the most popular and most appreciated musicals on Broadway. Based on the 1994 Disney animated film of the same name, the musical was labeled as a “must-see” performance by many prestigious magazines and newspapers from across the world.
Generally speaking, if you want to see the musical, you have to book a plane to New York and buy a ticket to the show. However, a few lucky people got their own private show while aboard a flight from Brisbane.
The cast of the musical was heading home after a tour in Australia and decided to give an impromptu performance to make the flight home more enjoyable for everyone in the plane. At first, passengers had no idea what was going on, but as soon as they realized something special was going on, they pulled out their phones and started to record.
Luckily, one of those recording surfaced on the Internet, and now we can all get to enjoy it. This is not the first time the cast of the musical showcase their talents outside of the stage. They also did a segment from Lion Kind during a subway ride.
