There is nothing worse than losing a child, and unfortunately Josh and Katie Butler know this way too well. The couple had always dreamt about starting a family together. They were excited to raise a child, so when Katie became pregnant, their hearts filled with joy.
But life doesn’t always go as planned, and just four months after welcoming their child into the world, Josh and Katie had to say goodbye to their precious baby forever. As one can only imagine, it was a moment filled with pain and dreams shattered.
But although the loss they suffered was almost too heartbreaking to bear, Katie and Josh knew they owed it to their precious baby to go on. As faith would have it, the two ended up adopting a baby from the same hospital where their son had tragically died in a year earlier.
Brax, whose family was unable to care of him, was adopted by the brave couple from the same ward where Katie delivered their first baby months before. They say there are no real coincidences in life and that everything happens for a reason, and it definitely seems to apply to Josh and Katie’s story.
