With all those Hollywood movies about space travel, you’ve probably heard the term ‘black hole’ before. That’s actually a thing. Moreover, NASA just saw a huge pulse of energy coming out of a black hole. If you’re anything like me, you probably have no idea what that means. But it sounds like a big deal, since nothing ever comes out of them. ‘This discovery will help us understand how supermassive black holes power some of the brightest objects in the universe,’ said Dan Wilkins of Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Canada. I can’t wait to see what conspiracy theories come out of this.
