As I’m sure you know, there are many parents out there who are reluctant to the idea of raising a child and a dog both under the same roof, and feel like they have to choose between babies and dogs. Their main concern is that the dog will do something to hurt the baby or put them at risk
In reality, though, growing up around dogs can actually benefit a child’s physical and psychological development.
Growing up with a dog teaches kids manners and responsibilities. What’s more, different studies have shown that babies who are exposed to dogs during the first months of their lives are less likely to develop allergies.
Also, they learn social skills and enjoy constant companionship. There is no denying that dogs can provide great comfort not only to toddlers and older kids but also to babies as well. Also, having a fury friend to cuddle with has been shown to be an excellent stress reliever.
