The love we share for others, sometimes requires lots of sacrifices and this child was ready to give up to his pup, just to make sure he’s safe and love. This boy in Mexico couldn’t stand to see his beloved Golden Retriever receiving maltreatments from his relatives, so he took the helpless dog and tied him to a bench in a park, hoping a kind person will adopt him. He also left a note next to the dog to motivate his hard decision
Some locals spotted the scared puppy and they called to a rescue, but not before offering him water and something to eat. Within minutes, Marcela Goldberg and Azul Galindo from the animal welfare Mascotas Coyoacan, arrived there.
“Several neighbors gathered and brought him water and food because they left him tied to the bench with nothing,” Marcela shared with The Dodo. “But they could not get close because the puppy was so scared.”

The rescue team also discovered a note next to the tied dog. The note, originally in Spanish, reads:
“Hi, please adopt me: Max. Please, I ask that you adopt this cute dog and you take good care of him. It hurts a lot to leave my dog here but I made the decision of leaving him because my family used to mistreat him and it would always hurt me to see him in that condition. If you’re reading this and your heart wavers, please adopt him and take good care of him. If not, please leave this note in its place. That way others can read it and adopt him. Thank you.”
Even scared and confused at the beginning, the puppy who’s around 8-month-old, calmed down as soon as he realized the rescuers intentions are good. There was a big change in his attitude after Marcela managed to cut off his chain. The lonely dog was then taken to the Mascotas Coyoacan facility where it is been taken care of. More than that, he’s no longer called Max, but Boston and now he’s waiting for a lovely family to adopt him.
“He will no longer be called Max, as his name appears in the note, because he awaits a new life without remnants of his past life,” the rescue center wrote on Facebook. “From now on, only love in Boston life, because he’s a sweetheart.”
