Winter is coming, and you’d better stock up on hot chocolate and apple cider because this winter is going to be a cold, long, snowy one. Or at least that’s what the Farmer’s Almanac Predictions indicate.
For those of you who don’t already know this, the Farmers’ Almanac is an annual North American periodical that has been in continuous publication since 1818. The publication is famous worldwide for its long-range weather predictions.
The predictions are usually pretty accurate but the method used to gather the actual data is a “top secret mathematical and astronomical formula, that relies on sunspot activity, tidal action, planetary position and many other factors.”
So what has the winter of 2018 have in store for us? Well, in addition to low temperatures, the Old Farmer’s Almanac says we should expect a lot of rainy days and precipitations. Also, if you live on the West Coast of the United States, you better get ready for a chilly, wet winter.
Also, those living in states like Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee and parts of Missouri and Alabama should expect the winter of 2018 to be a lot colder and snowier than previous winters.
