A tortoise cannot live without its shell. If left untreated, a more serious shell injury will lead to the death of the turtle. The tortoise in the video below named Freddie literally went to hell and back by managing to survive a devastating forest fire. However, Freddie lost 85 percent of its shell in the fire and had minimal chances of survival. But thanks to a team of veterinarians, 3D designers, and a local artist, the turtle can now blend in with his turtle friends. Freddie received a 3D printed shell that fits it perfectly.
