Moseley and Canvas fought together on multiple missions in Irak and Afghanistan and were a pair to be reckoned with. Nine-year-old Canvas served multiple tours in war zones and was trained to sniff up to 70 different bombs. The dog’s training saved many human lives, but unfortunately the one life the dog couldn’t save was its own. Canvas was diagnosed with a severe spinal cord condition and Moseley decided to take away the pain for his loyal partner. Watch the heart-breaking moment Moseley and his entire community says goodbye to Retired U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant Canvas Friday during a hometown procession meant to pay a final tribute for one that served.
