A dog, once blind, showers his family with the most affectionate – and damp – greetings upon regaining his sight. Overjoyed pup Duffy expresses boundless excitement upon reuniting with his owners post a successful surgery.
In this touching video, the Irish Terrier enthusiastically enters a room at the vet’s office. Clearly delighted, he immediately recognizes his owners and showers each of them with abundant displays of affection.
Off-camera, his owners can be heard cheering excitedly as it becomes evident that Duffy’s sight-restoring surgery has been a resounding success. In return, he receives hugs and a delicious biscuit. Wearing a protective neck cone to prevent damage to his mended eye, the pet had lost his sight due to complications from diabetes.
Benjamin May, who posted the clip, wrote: “This is my Irish Terrier Duffy. He’s a rescue dog and he’s had a lot of struggles with his health. “He developed diabetes and lost his eyesight. With medication we got his diabetes stable and he qualified for eye surgery to give him back his sight. Here is seeing my parents afterwards.”
