Getting a shot is bad enough without doctors taking forever to find a vein. This device could be the solution so that physicians will never ‘miss’ when trying to locate a vein. The Vein Viewer is a new device that shows where patient’s veins are located without being invasive whatsoever. The device uses harmless near-infrared (NIR) light to detect superficial blood under the skin, and project an image of that blood pattern onto the surface of the skin in real time. Pretty cool, don’t you think? Now if only they’d come up with something to replace injections altogether.
