The huge busts of the “Founding Fathers” (each weighing over 9 tons) have come to this situation after the large-scale project of a theme park hosted more than a decade ago was shot dead.
Opened in 2004, the “Park of Presidents” quickly declined, partly due to the location of the construction, being masked by a surrounding forest almost invisible to the landscape. The project soon turned out to be a fiasco in attracting visitors, and in 2010, investors decided to close the gates and auction the land.
