We don’t always think about animals in the midst of chaos, and something like a fire or floods can definitely create chaos. Recently, residents in Canada were forced to evacuate because of the massive wildfires. In an effort to help not only these people but their pets as well, West Jet and Canadian North airlines broke some rules and allowed animals to fly in their cabins. In an interview for Huffington Post Canada, an airline spokesperson said that “it’s definitely unusual to carry pets in the cabin, but due to the unusual circumstances we were able to bend the rules to accommodate these animals.”
